In episode four we visit China's east, between the Yellow and Yangtze Rivers - a place of great cities, heavy industrialisation and intensive agriculture. Here we find the centre of a 5,000-year-old civilisation which has created landmarks such as the Great Wall, the Temple of Heaven and Beijing's Olympic Stadium, coexisting with rare animals like the golden snub-nosed monkey, the golden takin and the giant panda.
