Tony Robinson's World by Rail
India and Myanmar
Episode 2  |  SBS  |  November 27, 2019

Tony's journey across India and Burma begins in India's mega capital Delhi, where he visits one of the city's oldest markets: Chandni Chowk. Before dashing off he joins locals in a spectacular ritual, feeding thousands of birds that migrate from Siberia to Delhi each winter. Crammed on a sleeper train on one of the busiest railway networks in the world, he races towards the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India. He tests the Himalayan Mountain Railway, an engineering miracle built by the Brits that was originally used for transporting tea down the mountains, before heading to Burma.
