A simple solution to pollution from cooking smoke

We hear from climate scientists about their astounding discovery of the 'atmospheric brown cloud' in the late 1990s. The scientists used high tech equipment including former military drones to prove the existence of this potentially catastrophic phenomenon which is warming the atmosphere while cooling the ocean.

The climate scientists are measuring the thickness of the ice on top of the Himalayan glacier lakes. In this clip we also see some shocking footage of a flood caused by a glacier lake outburst that killed dozens of villagers with no warning whatsoever. The concern is that climate change may cause more of these devastating floods.

Bernice travels high up the mountain with a climate scientist to see how he is using high tech instruments to measure the composition of materials on the ground and how much the ice is melting.
