Preston Sturges was born on 29th August 1898 in Chicago. Sturges was a writer and director, who was renowned for his screwball comedies. Some of Sturges' career highlights include 1941s Sullivan's Travels, the 1941 Barbara Stanwyck-Henry Fonda picture The Lady Eve, the now respected Unfaithfully Yours (1948) which starred Rex Harrison, as well as directing Betty Grable in The Beautiful Blonde from Bashful Bend (1949).
