The Big Painting Challenge

The Big Painting Challenge

Seascapes
Season 1  |  Episode 6  |  FOXTEL Arts  |  September 16, 2016

Una Stubbs and Richard Bacon travel to Dartmouth for the final of the art competition. The four amateurs set up their easels at the Royal Naval College and are asked to capture a sense of Britain's seafaring heritage - and with just three challenges left, one contestant takes a big risk to impress the judges. That's followed by a quick sketch of a platoon of naval cadets marching on the parade ground, before the final painting of the competition, in which they have to capture the atmosphere of Dartmouth harbour. It's then up to judges Daphne Todd and Lachlan Goudie to decide who will be the first winner.
