Hannah, Bella, Colwyn and Harrison of Walkerville Primary School experiment with different materials to find the best rubber band ball and explain the science behind these bouncy wonders. To make your own, you'll need two types of rubber bands, a styrofoam ball, ping-pong balls, sticky putty, a measuring tape, colours makers, a pen and paper and a safe place for testing your inventions. Did you know the rubber band was patented in 1845 by British inventor and factory owner Stephen Perry?
