Polar Bears: Living On Thin Ice
Animal Planet  |  June 18, 2009

The Arctic winter storms sweep over at more than 100km/h over the ice with temperatures dropping down to -60 degrees C. In this inhospitable world lies a nursery of polar bears, ringed seals, walruses and belugas. Thomas Behrend and his team follow two polar bear families over one year capturing rare and unique pictures of a polar bear mother and her triplets. Polar Bears: Living on Thin Ice shows the beauty of the Arctic as well as the unique behaviour of its inhabitants, and their struggle against the negative forces of climate change.
