Killer Volcanoes
SBS  |  June 22, 2018

In the mid-13th century, scientists are discovering that a giant volcanic eruption wreaked havoc on the world. Studies of polar ice cores reveal it released more sulphur into the atmosphere than any other eruption in the past 7000 years. It caused summer to turn to winter, and likely left millions starving and dead. But the identity of the volcano was a mystery - until now.
