The delicious bowl of spaghetti emerged from Arab countries after they brought it with them when they invaded Sicily in the 12th century. In a pasta factory, John learns to make pasta by hand, and exposes the role played by pasta in the Naples' politics from the 18th century. Not just comfort food, pasta was used to quiet an unruly mob until the mid-20th century, when politicians exchanged noodles for votes.
