Child Of Our Time: Read My Lips
Season 4  |  Episode 2  |  BBC Knowledge  |  March 3, 2011

In this episode, Professor Robert Winston explores how we develop the art of speech and body language to make ourselves understood and to understand others. At three years old our children have discovered the joys of speech. We see how children pick up language and the importance of communication both verbal and nonverbal. They are learning as many as 10 new words a day - and some have already grasped the first 1500 words of the 20,000 words they can expect to learn in a lifetime.
