However, due to unusual volcanic activity, the ground had become a warm breeding ground for the ants to multiply, and eventually attack the town's entire population. Jim Conrad, a professor of entomology, arrives in the village to visit a friend and soon realises that something is wrong. Enlisting the aid of a very attractive biology teacher, Laura, and the Sheriff, they attempt to uncover the mystery of the ants and save the town.
