BtN explains why many people are campaigning for the age that children can be put in youth detention to be raised from 10 to 14. Star of the documentary In My Blood it Runs, Dujuan, went all the way to Geneva to state his case. More than half of the young people in youth detention are indigenous and many believe this form of punishment creates more harm than good. The Government has stated they will not raise the age until an alternative system is in place for those young people who need it.
