Give Me Strength
Season 8  |  Episode 4  |  Lifestyle Channel  |  September 10, 2017

Ninety-one-year-old Cyril arrives at St George's by air ambulance after being in a car crash. He was on his way home to wife Betty with some fish for their supper, but never made it back and had to be cut from his car. Doctors are concerned about injuries to his chest and side. As Cyril awaits further reports and examinations, wife Betty talks about how she fell for the former miner, finding out that he couldn't read or write and the strength of their 68-year marriage. Meanwhile, 57-year-old Caroline arrives at St George's with chest pains. The medical team are concerned she may have had a heart attack, having had one in her 40s as well as a family history. As they wait for test results, Caroline's daughter Chelsea talks about their relationship and the moment her mum left the family home and moved away when she was very young. But she came back and wants to stick around a little longer. And five-year-old Roman has a pencil lead stuck in his ear. He's with his mum Annie, who talks about how he's charming and affectionate, but can also be a handful.
