In episode four the Townsville crew leaves before dawn to fly back out to the 'ghost yacht' drifting on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Police regard the yacht as a potential crime scene and the crew must pick up vital navigation equipment and computers which may provide information needed to help search for the missing three-man crew. After they have retrieved the equipment, the Townsville crew joins an all out search for the vanished men. Meanwhile, the Cairns crew flies to the Mossman River Gorge. A teenage boy has become stranded on a rock in the middle of rapids and all attempts to reach him have failed.
