Jimmy was born into a musical family on the banks of the Murray River, and although one of nature's gentlemen, from an early age he had a steely resolve to succeed. In the early 60s Jimmy even outsold the Beatles in Australia and became one of the first Indigenous Australians to break through on radio and television.

They intend to take samples of their own blood and do research re the oxygen content at Mt Everest's extreme altitude conditions. There are four camps, and the last one, Camp 4, is at an altitude of 7950m. The lowest camp is at Lukla at 2840m and 200 volunteers have arrived to be tested for the effect of altitude sickness.
