Its elimination week, with the eight guitarists having to show off what they have learned over the last few weeks, with a one off performance at historical music venue KOKO. Mentors and music legends Tony Visconti, Milos and Nitin Sawhney return to assess their development and to choose just five guitarists from the eight to continue in the competition. The stakes couldn't be higher, with all the players desperate to continue on the talent show that celebrates talent. But the mentors don't pull any punches, describing one performance as a train wreck, while another guitarist impresses so much they are inspired to give them a standing ovation. In the tense final part, all eight guitarists are brought back onto the stage to hear their fate, leading to elation from the chosen five, whilst the other three have to pack up their guitar cases and head home. In a final twist, Tony Visconti reveals the experience awaiting the winners in the next episode.

The five guitarists head to the world famous Abbey Road Studios to cut their own track. The hallowed ground that is Abbey Road has welcomed so many great artists over the years, but it was transformed into the iconic space we know today in the '60s when the Beatles recorded so many albums there, including The White Album and A Hard Day's Night. Our guitarists get to follow in the footsteps of these legends by recording in the very same space as The Beatles: Abbey Road's studio two, which has the most sought after acoustics in the music industry. If this wasn't special enough, they will be working with iconic rock producer Tony Visconti who will bring all his experience of working with David Bowie, T.Rex and Thin Lizzie, to name a few, to help them produce the best track possible. He will be scrutinising every chord and note to hear how the players perform in this very special studio environment.
