Just what did scientists really find when they uncovered the tiny, human-like skeleton of a strange creature on the Indonesian island of Flores in 2003? Since the discovery was made public a bitter dispute has split the world of anthropology. Are the bones a previously unknown and bizarre primitive species of human? The Hobbit discovery forces us to rethink some of the most fundamental questions of human origins.

Napoli Dogs is a tale of survival and friendship, love affairs and raids. Narrated by the gang's former leader old Gennaro, the Napoli Dogs is made up of a diverse cast of characters and include the best nose in the gang, Terroni, Malocchio with his evil eye, Partenope who is queen of rubbish bins, charmingly sweet Chiara, wily Leopardi, the thief on silent paws, and Capo, the boss of the gang. Finally there's Bartolo, the green-horn of the pack.

With the help of two foreign paleontologists and a team of expert divers, Castor Cartelle and the team embark on an expedition to uncover a rare species of sloth - the ground dwelling Giant Sloth.
