Louis Theroux spends time with a small and very committed subculture of ultra-nationalist Jewish settlers in the occupied territories in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Louis wants to understand the lives of people who put both themselves and their families in danger, and also seem ready to attract the criticism of the rest of the world, in order to plant the flag for a bigger Israel that will encompass new lands. In this program, Louis joins pioneer settlers who claim new hilltops for Jewish occupation and also spends time with those who live cheek by jowl with Palestinians in Hebron and East Jerusalem. He discovers a group of people who consider it their religious and political obligation to populate some of the most sensitive and disputed areas of the West Bank, especially those with a spiritual significance dating back to the Bible. Throughout his journey, Louis gets close to the people most involved with driving the extreme end of the Jewish settler movement - finding them warm, friendly, humorous, and deeply troubling.

Josie Bellerby is a typical, if fortunate, 18-year-old. She lives in a loving home in York with her parents Julia and Jules, and has two older sisters Lucy and Emma. Young, vivacious, and not afraid to speak her mind, Josie has lots of friends and realistic dreams of becoming an actress. But life isn't as blessed as it might seem. Josie could be living with a deadly inheritance - like her mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother before her, she could be carrying the cancer genes that mean her risk of developing breast cancer increases to eighty per cent.
