For 50 years Harold Pinter was at the centre of theatrical life not just in his home country of Britain, but all over the world. It is hard to over-estimate the impact of his work. Not only a remarkable playwright with one of the most illustrious careers in contemporary theatre, Pinter's career also encompassed acting, poetry and political activism as a vociferous critic of American and British foreign policy. He also won the Nobel prize for literature. His 29 plays are continually produced with undimmed enthusiasm by school students and great directors and actors alike. In this hour-long program director Harry Burton invited Pinter to participate in a master class with actors and some observers. The film is an attempt to capture something of the collaborative spirit that made working with him a very special experience.
