A dual citizenship fiasco rocks parliament, Laurie Oakes resigns as Channel Nine's political editor, Barnaby Joyce joins the list of dual-nationals, as well as Fiona Nash, and Malcolm Roberts has always 'thought' he was …Australian. Roberts also weighs in on balanced reporting, popularity and News Corp vs Fairfax. The Murray Darling Basin plan is like trickle-down economics, Hanson wears a burka to parliament, and Cory Bernardi offers some absurdist commentary on the whole debate. Hanson calls on the ACB to release records on it's $200,000 earners, a figure reminiscent of what's been bouncing around her AEC funding.

It has been called the most spectacular terror attack since 9/11. On the night of November 26, 2008, 10 men armed with guns and grenades launched an assault on multiple Mumbai targets with a military precision that left 166 dead. India quickly learned the attackers belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistani militant group associated with Pakistan's secretive intelligence agency, the ISI. But what wasn't known then was that a Lashkar/ISI operative had been casing the city for two years, developing a blueprint for terror.

Hypocrisy and double standards, it's another day in #auspol. The citizenship saga continues, Sam Maiden questions Mathias Cormann's phraseology, same sex marriage (SSM) divides the Liberals, and the NBN is a stuffed, slow-cook turkey. Then it's the Australia/Invasion Day debate, citizenship pressure on Darebin and Yarra councils for supporting #ChangetheDate, David Leyonhjelm's thoughts on colonialist statues in parks and Tony Abbott thinks political correctness is "the last thing we need", among many other things. Lastly, HSC board "furious" after students taught the wrong stream, SSM ads, "zingers" and religious exemptions, and Bob Katter wants the word "gay" back.

Shaun Micallef gives voice to a nation's rage in this, his 6th season of the award winning MAD AS HELL. ABC audiences can expect to be either pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised depending on whether they like the changes we've made. For example, the old cast has been sacked and replaced with some of the still hypnotised subjects from the first episode of Daryl Somer's show. Also, the writers have been replaced with the same automated software developed by the ABC to write Janet King the Dr Blake Mysteries. We've kept a few things too, like the host and the unspeakable stains on the ceiling of his office. To raise money for charity, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team is miniaturised, injected into Iggy Pop's head and given just 60 minutes to find five living brain cells which it can challenge to a game of 'hoops'. #MadAsHellTV

Micallef takes a long look at Australian politics, starting with a match review of plebiscite handling by the Liberals, Labour and Nationals, a "short and sweet" look at Shorten's comedy career, Turnbull's advice for first home buyers, and a debrief on leadership aspirations. Then to superannuation and a report on gender inequity, the Commbank's money laundering scandal, Michaelia Cash's floundering youth employment scheme, Kim Jong-un's missile tests, and a royalty roundup. Lastly, Micallef tackles speculation surrounding an Australian Republic and a brief note on the same-sex marriage debate.

Change the Date: Australia Day, Invasion Day, do we or don't we? The Hottest 100 jumped on-board with a date change, Cory Bernardi released an Australian Conservatives 100 playlist, garnering a few negative responses, and Tony Abbott chimed in with his own Australia Day comments. Peter Dutton sensationalises "African Gangs" in Victoria, and like a scene from The Hollowmen, Turnbull's government pledges $60 million to "future-proofing" the Great Barrier Reef but goes ahead with the Adani mine anyway.
