In early 2007, Paul Kelly asked a number of his friends to donate their time to record versions of songs by Kev Carmody, for what was to become the album Cannot Buy My Soul. In January 2008, most of them, including Kev Carmody himself, came together at the State Theatre in Sydney for the stage production of Cannot But My Soul. Once again, the artists involved donated their time to the project, which went on to become one of the most powerful and emotional concerts Sydney has ever heard.

Murdered and cruelly beheaded in 1833 by those he trusted, the return of Yagan's skull to Noongar country was a momentous occasion for Australian Indigenous people nationwide. This is his story.
