This film follows the epic adventures of a young lion cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destined role as king of the jungle. As a carefree cub, he "just can't wait to be king", and spends his days frolicking with his pal, Nala. His father, King Mufasa, the revered ruler of Pride Rock and the lands that surround it, teaches him about the "circle of life" - the delicate balance of nature which bonds all animals together - and cautions him to prepare for the day when he will be called upon to lead.
In this film, Timon the pompous meerkrat and Pumbaa the bumbling warthog reveal where they came from, when they met and how they helped Simba save the Serengeti. Their story includes glimpses into some big events from The Lion King that look a little different from Timon and Pumbaa's perspective's such as when King Mustafa introduced baby Simba to the animal kingdom. With Timon and Pumbaa telling the story, get ready cause the circle of life will never be the same.
Simba apologises to his father for disobeying him, explaining that he wanted to be as brave as his dad.
After being rescued by fellow outcasts Timon and Pumbaa, Simba learns to survive in the jungle with his news friends, who teach him their hakuna matata motto.
Simba is presented to the animals in his father Mufasa's kingdom, his responsibilities are explained to him, and he learns about the circle of life.
