Why did the Mayans disappear?

Peter Stormare feels strongly connected to Olof Ohman, the Swedish immigrant who found the Kensington rune stone, and he sets out on a personal quest to prove he is not a hoaxer. He teams up with history enthusiast Elroy Balgaard and it quickly gets clear to them that the rune stone is a controversial subject with a lot of passionate people invested in its story.
