Count Us In: Numbers
Numbers
Season 1  |  Episode 11  |  ABC  |  May 19, 2010

In each program the content develops from the use of concrete representation of numbers to exploring problems where there is less reliance on such representation. There is also a strong emphasis on mathematical language and on encouraging estimation and self-correction. Today: Dodly is keeping track of sheep who are arriving in the backyard. Flynn is trying to read the paper and while he doesn't believe there are sheep outside, he helps Dodly by suggesting different ways to record numbers up to ten. The underlying theme is the effectiveness of our number system in recording numbers.
