Budget 2016 - The big story next week will be the announcement of the Federal Budget. It's when the government reveals exactly how it's going to manage our country's money over the next year. But how do you decide where to spend billions and billions of dollars when everyone seems to have a different idea? BtN finds out. Submarines - The Government has announced it will spend a whopping $50 billion dollars on a new fleet of submarines. A French company has won the contract to build the new subs, but they'll be constructed here in Australia. We find out more about these future subs and learn why Australia would want to spend so much on them. **Submarines will be next weeks BtN #AskaReporter topic! ** National Volunteer Week - The week of the 11th of May is National Volunteer Week, when we honour the massive contribution volunteers make to this country. Its estimated 6.1 million adults volunteer a total of 713 million hours each year. But its not just adults who can get involved. Kids can also make a big difference to their communities. For example, this week well hear from one young girl who regularly helps the residents at her local nursing home. Schools can register their activities on our website and share video of them too. BtNs Kind Classrooms Campaign will run for the entire month of May and feature videos of our favourite Kind Classroom activities each week. The aim is to brighten the day of thousands of people everywhere, while showing just how kind the kids of Australia really are. 400 years of Shakespeare It's been four hundred years since the death of the worlds most famous playwright, William Shakespeare.
