Here I Am

Here I Am is a moving and hopeful story about the strength and resilience of women. Set and shot in and around Port Adelaide, the film is Beck Cole's first feature film as writer and director. It was shot by Warwick Thornton, director of the award-winning 2009 film Samson and Delilah. Unlike several recent Australian films telling contemporary stories of Indigenous Australians, Here I Am is set in the gritty urban environment of Port Adelaide.

The film would be suitable for middle and senior secondary students of Health and Personal Development/ Life Skills, SOSE/HSIE, Family Studies, Indigenous Studies, Gender Studies, Psychology, Philosophy and Ethics and Film and Media Studies.
